This Shipping Policy outlines the responsibilities and expectations for both sellers and buyers when using the Ownitoo platform for transactions involving shipping.
1. For Sellers
1.1. Preparing Items for Shipment

Condition and Packaging:
Sellers must ensure that items are in the described condition and securely packaged to prevent damage during shipping. -
Shipping Timelines:
Sellers must ship items within 2 business days of receiving payment, unless otherwise agreed with the buyer.
1.2. Shipping Methods

Sellers are responsible for choosing a reliable shipping provider. Options may include Norwegian postal services (Posten Norge) or private carriers like Bring, Fedex or DHL.

Tracking is recommended to ensure transparency and avoid disputes.
1.3. Shipping Costs

Responsibility: Sellers can choose to include shipping costs in the item's price or list them separately.

Cost Agreement: Buyers must agree to shipping costs before completing the transaction.
1.4. Lost or Damaged Shipments

If a shipment is lost or damaged, sellers must work with the shipping provider to resolve the issue. Sellers are responsible for providing proof of shipment to buyers.

If insurance was purchased for the shipment, sellers must assist in filing a claim.
2. For Buyers
2.1. Address Accuracy

Buyers must provide an accurate and complete shipping address. Ownitoo and sellers are not liable for items lost due to incorrect address details provided by buyers.
2.2. Receiving Items

Buyers are responsible for inspecting items upon delivery and reporting any discrepancies (e.g., item not as described, damaged) within 48 hours.
2.3. Tracking and Delivery

Buyers should monitor the provided tracking information. If there is no tracking, they must communicate directly with the seller for updates.
3. Dispute Resolution
If shipping issues arise, buyers and sellers are encouraged to resolve disputes directly. Ownitoo may assist but is not liable for shipping-related disputes, including delays or damages caused by third-party carriers.
4. Shipping Restrictions
The following restrictions apply to shipments:

Sellers cannot ship prohibited or restricted items (see Prohibited Items Policy).

Sellers must comply with Norwegian and international shipping regulations.

Items must not exceed the size or weight limits of the chosen shipping provider.
5. Buyer and Seller Responsibilities in Case of Returns

Buyers:
If returning an item, buyers must package it securely and use a tracked shipping method. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed with the seller or as required by Norwegian consumer laws. -
Sellers:
Sellers must issue a refund upon receiving the returned item, provided it is in the agreed condition.
6. Liability Disclaimer
Ownitoo is not responsible for:

Delays, losses, or damages caused by shipping providers.

Incorrect delivery due to inaccurate information provided by users.
7. International Shipping
If sellers ship internationally, they must ensure compliance with export/import regulations. Buyers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes imposed on shipments to their country.
